Join Us as a Volunteer for the 28th Annual Rappahannock Rough Ride!
We are seeking volunteers to help make this year’s Rough Ride a success! Whether you're helping on the course, at the event location, or in the days leading up to the ride, your time and energy will ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all participants.

Below are the volunteer positions we are currently looking to fill:
Flaggers
- Role: Stay at an assigned location along the course and direct riders, ensuring they stay on track and navigate safely.
Sag Drivers (support and gear "SAG" driver)
- Role: Follow riders along the course in your SUV, wagon, or truck, ready to assist any participants experiencing issues or needing a ride. Requires SUV or truck.
VDOT Volunteers
- Role: Help set up event signage and cones on the morning of the ride to ensure the course is properly marked and safe for riders. Requires SUV or truck.
Event Location Volunteers
- Role: Assist with various tasks at the event location, including parking, filling coolers, sorting food, and helping with setup to create a welcoming environment for riders and spectators.
Week of Volunteers
- Role: Help with crucial prep work the week leading up to the ride, including picking up VDOT supplies, shopping for food and event supplies, and organizing materials.
